Want More Energy in Life - You Should!

So many people today are tired. So many people want to get more energy. The expression, there are not enough hours in a day, has become a commonly said mantra. There is too much to do and to little time.

We don't eat right, we don't exercise right, we don't take time to connect to ourselves, and we don't rest properly. These four things all contribute to our energy level - yet, we put them on a back burner to 'more important things'. When in reality there is nothing more important then those four things when it comes to physical health.

Eating right is so simple; yet, we make it so hard! Eating right means eating fresh healthy food that provides us with the nutrition we need for the day. Eating right means not overeating; but rather, eating the amount of food our body needs to get nourished. Healthy food gets digested easier and quicker than unhealthy food. It doesn't weight us down; instead, it gives us the energy we need to do the things we want.

Yet we overeat - actually we stuff ourselves to the point of exhaustion - with processed and fried food - that provide little nutrition to us because of the processing it goes through. We eat the color, additives, and preservatives that comes with this food and wonder why we don't feel good. Our bodies take a long time to digest the heavily processed food. This weighs us down and takes away from other activities we should (or could) be doing. We are too busy digesting our unhealthy food.

So eat healthier for more energy.

Exercise is another thing we put off for other things, like TV. Admit it - you could go for a walk but you can't miss survivor!

Exercise gives us energy and makes us feel good. If you go out for a walk right now, you will feel better when you get home then you do right now. It's just the way it is. Exercise gets our heart pumping and strengthens it, and every other muscle in our bodies. Exercise helps us burn off the food we eat better as well. How often do we sit down after a meal when we could go for a walk, or some other form of exercise.

There is no down side to exercise. Just do it!

Connecting to ourselves is so important but we hardly spend any time with ourselves at all. We are too busy with other people or - yep, watching TV - or whatever!

Meditation is a great way to connect with yourself and feel connected to the universe as well.

The benefits of meditation are huge. It benefits our physical body, mental state, and spiritual awareness. Psychologically it helps us reach a higher level of creativity, learning ability, and boosts our memory.

Learn how to meditate - your whole body and energy level will thank you.

And lastly, we don't get the rest we should. Even when we are 'resting' we are not really resting. I love TV but I have to bring it up again - watching tv is not really resting. Resting includes resting our brains and when we watch TV we are so involved in the program that it can literally affect us mentally. We get over involved in shows and live them with the people in the shows.

And of course, we are not getting enough sleep at night. Everyone needs different amounts of sleep. You should feel rested and ready to go when you wake up. Not exhausted and wanting to go back to bed.

If you can, take a nap in the afternoon. Just a quick nap will do your body, both physically and mentally, wonders.

Get the sleep you need and get more done in the day!

If we all focused on these 4 important aspects of our health we would all have more energy in our lives - guaranteed.
